Are you thinking about developing a Social Media strategy for your church? Are you overwhelmed by the options available to you? It’s o.k. to feel a little overwhelmed by all the options, but it’s not o.k. to ignore them. Social Media and online member directories are powerful evangelism, ministry and connectional tools.

First, form a team….a “Technology/Communications Team.” You can not manage the demands of Social Media alone. Form a team, and then begin forming a communications plan.
Second, learn the basics of Social Media. Study the different options available to you. Here is a little graph to get you started.
Third, after learning about the different options, determine which ones you want to utilize, how you want to utilize them, and who will be utilizing them to spread the good news about your church and Christ.
Fourth, get started! Set up the appropriate Social Media profiles & accounts. Then, GO! Post, tweet, upload photos, interact, add content and minister! The hardest part is getting started! 🙂
