Parenting is not an easy task, and sometimes knowing how to pray and actually praying for our children can be quite difficult.  At times we find ourselves overwhelmed by our love and concern for them….fearing that they might not have the best….or that we might not have given them the best of ourselves.

If I knew a magic solution that would make us perfect parents and make our children’s lives “perfect,”  I would gladly share it with you. But, I don’t know of one.  The truth is, I search daily for the wisdom God promises to give, because I need so much of it. (James 1:15 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who giveth to all men liberally….”)  Perfect!! I know that I can rely on this promise each day!

One thing I have realized, and I believe to be true, is that God has designed the very best plan for our children’s lives….better than the best plans we make for them.  For our God is all seeing, all knowing, all loving.    The very best we can give to our children is a deep love and understanding of God’s Kingdom, and His very best will rise up to meet them….right where they are in the midst of life and sometimes death.
